Study On The Applications Of Mosaiculture In Beijing Area

The mosaiculture is a combination of organic gardening, art and engineering. It representsthe highest level of today’s gardening. A successful mosaiculture work needs a conception ofunique artistic theme except vivid shape to convey a culture and spirit. In recent years, with therapid development of the mosaiculture in China and abroad, it has become one of the keylandscape layout among the festivals and major events and has got the public love andattention.In this paper, the mosaiculture is the object of study. It investigated the application ofBeijing mosaiculture in2012and2013to introduce the history and the current situations ofapplication of mosaiculture in Beijing. It summarizes and analyzes of the mosaiculture fromthe aspects of parterre type, plant material and theme. It proposes the current problems and theprospects of mosaiculture put forward their point of view that provides some guidance for theconstruction of the future landscape of Beijing festival Mosaiculture.The main findings of the study are as follows:（1）The mosaiculture in Beijing urban area has higher level of application, rich types andwide sources range of theme. It accounted for72%of full bloom Mosaiculture,72%ofmodeling Mosaiculture,74%of the portfolio Mosaiculture,20%of animal Mosaiculture and16%of Building type Mosaiculture. All of them are the theme Mosaiculture. Although thethemes drawn from the rich, but it lacks of the connotation of depth and charisma.（2）The species of plant meterials of mosaiculture in Beijing urban area is abundant. Itincludes steraceae, Amaranthaceae, sedum used more often. From the point of view of lifeforms, perennial species representing up to44%; Second annual and biennial plants accountedfor27%.（3）The plant material of mosaiculture in Pinggu District Festival is monotonous. Thefrequency and number of applications of perennial plant is much higher than the annual or biennial plants,which Impatiens wallerana and Begonia semperflorens most applications. Themosaiculture in Pinggu district urgents to enrich the variety of plant materials, enhancediversity of Mosaiculture landscape.（4）The model of mosaiculture in Pinggu District Festival is simple. The decorative effectis monotonous and lacks of thematic meaning. The warm colors account for92.2%and thecool colors account for7.8%. Plenty of warm rendered lively, festive holiday atmosphere.Through the investigation and analysis, this paper summarized the problems of theapplication of Pinggu District Mosaiculture and made recommendations. It discussed thedevelopment trend and application prospects for the future of the mosaiculture.
