Recently, the technology of progressing cavity pump (PCP) has been widely used.The cavity pump is mainly composed of metal rotor and rubber stator, in which therubber stator is particularly an important part. The service life of the cavity pump and itsmining efficiency are affected by the working life of the rubber stator as a whole. So themanufacturing process and technology of the rubber stator become a focus. The generalmanufacturing methods of the rubber stator are the injection molding and pressureinjection. But the changes and the connection in various parameters of various physicalparameters and the measurement in rubber flowing process are rarely quantified from thetheoretical analysis of the production process. In this regard, the paper has carried on thesimulation to the injection molding process of the cavity pump rubber stator.Firstly, the finite element model of PCP’s rubber stator is established before thesimulation of the injection of PCP’s rubber stator was researched by the mold flowsoftware. The research included that, the impact of inje ction gate of the process isanalyzed first of all; focusing on the study of filling time, injection pressure, clampingforce and maximum shear rate between different flow rate in injectionmolding process and determine the best process parameters range; the study on flowpattern of the uniform-thickness PCP’s rubber stator injection molding process andcompared with the rubber stator of conventional PCP, analyzing of the advantages of theuniform-thickness PCP from the injection molding point. Finally, through the range oforthogonal test method in analysis, the most influence factors in different results wereworked out and the optimal injection molding parameters was determined.Through the analysis above, the best parameters for injection molding of thestator model used in this dissertation are determined so can this analysis method be usedin the general injection molding process of PCP’s rubber stator model, and theparameters in molding process such as mold temperature, rubber temperature, filling rate can be optimally determined. Finally, through the orthogonal test method can obtain theoptimal combination of parameters in the injection molding process.
