Modern optical system more toward small, lightweight, simplified structure, in the direction of high performance and low cost. Along with the optical design, processing, testing technology to raise the level of non-spherical optical system has gradually become the most widely used and one of the most effective components. Optical system in the proper place to introduce non-spherical perfection can be effective to streamline the organization and improve the performance of optical systems, optical systems to reduce the quality and size. In recent years, the plastic optical parts for lightweight, impact-resistant performance and low cost, large-scale production can be achieved, the system can be complex and complicated features of the shape of the domestic and rapid development, the rapid expansion of its use to so many pieces of optical glass is the dominant area will be expanded to the information industry, the automobile industry, electronics industry and etc.Injection molding is one of the main methods of forming polymer processing, the products can be obtained form complex, fully automated and easy to achieve. Injection molding cycle is short and it is able to form a complex shape, size and high precision, good surface quality components, so it is very suitable for forming optical lenses. However, injection molding is a much complicated processing, the quality of lens is affected by a lot of factors thus is difficult to control. In this paper, the injection molding process of an aspheric plastic optical lens has been simulated by using the injection molding commercial software Moldflow. The injection molding process parameters have been optimized by using orthogonal experimental design method. To begin with, the fill, packing, and cool process of the injection molding process of the aspheric plastic optical lens have been simulated using tentative process parameters. Through analyzing the results of advance simulation, we can draw a conclusion that tentative process parameters are feasible. Base on these process parameters, warp deflection is simulated, which result shows the most significant factor that effect warp deflection is uneven shrinkage. So in order to reduce the warp deflection, the injection molding process parameters have been optimized by using orthogonal experimental design method.
