In the design of sluice, the stress in contact with the foundation of the base plate is one of the most concerns of the designer. Especially for the new type of lock structure, this kind of engineering sluice’s main features are:great span and low water head, the design is novel, subtle and unique. But on the other hand, this kind of lock structure stress condition is relatively complicated, such sluice structure is more special, stress conditions is more complicated. Using the traditional method of structural mechanics is difficult to analysis the structure, so this kind of lock can be snalysised by three dimensional finite element.This paper, by using the finite element software ABAQUS, combines with specific engineering example and calculate with3D model. This paper analysises the corresponding stress and deformation conditions in the different load conditions with different seam type. This paper provides design basis for the engineering practice, which has important reference value for this type of sluices. In this paper, the main research results are as follows:1. Under various load, the displacement deformation of sluice floor presents that the up of the sluice floor upstream has displacement deformation, and the low of the sluice floor downstream has displacement deformation. Namely the upper part of the sluice floor is in a state of a "compact", and the lower part of the sluice floor is in a state of a stretch ".2. under the different type of points, the sluice has different displacement deformation in the vertical direction. In particular, When the seam is on the pier, the displacement deformation in the vertical direction is symmetrical for left and right sides. When the seam is on the floor, the lock chamber in the vertical displacement of the deformation law of both the left and right sides is symmetrical, also has a positive progressive change rule, and reverse the gradual change rule. Reverse gradual change, refers to the lock upstream settlement is small, and the downstream sedimentation is larger, the subsidence regularity for the stability of the lock chamber is relatively bad.3.This paper found that when the gates open, the internal force of sluices is biger than that of other circumstances. So in the actual operation process of sluices, for this type of sluice,we should pay attention to the gate opening time, and do not open the gate for a long time to the greatest extent.
