The development of automobile air conditioning technology is always aimed to energy conservation and perfection of load prediction. The load calculation model of automobile air conditioning simply came from the model for the air conditioning systems of buildings, but there are many differences between the two kinds of load prediction model as mentioned in the first chapter. So there is still a lot of subjects need to work on for the load prediction with high-precision so as to improve or optimize the control of system operation for car air conditioning.Considering the existing weakness in load calculating of automobile air conditioning, in this work, the author will present the preliminary investigation into thermal radiation model and bottom board sol-air temperature according to the shape of cars.In the third chapter, a computer program with visual interface is drawn up by VB6.0 mainly based on the existing solar irradiation theories and models used in the case of automobile air conditioning. The program can be used to calculate the irradiance on any titled surface and sol-air temperature of the surface such as the exteriors of a car in parking or running in any region. The accuracy, validity and reliability have been testified by field experiments. There is not such kind of computer programs for automobile air conditioning design so far, so the program will, to some extent, contribute to the development and perfection of the thermal model of solar irradiation for automobile air conditioning.As for the heating or cooling load caused by car bottom board, there is also not any report on the investigation into this subject. In the fourth chapter of the thesis, the results of systematically arranged field experiments, which were carried out especially for the thermal feature of car bottom board in Shanghai, are presented. The experiment data of long-wave radiation from the road surface the car bottom board faces can be used as the basis of theoretical analysis for its thermal environment. Moreover the correlation of the long-wave radiation from road surface and the road surface temperature to the solar irradiance is alsoanalyzed and fitted using the MATLAB fitting toolbox. The sol-air temperature of car bottom board is calculated using the data just obtained.In a word, the results of the research are quite helpful in the establishment and perfection of load prediction for automobile air conditioning, and for the energy conservation in air conditioning system and environment protection.
