The sluice dam site selection and design are important,because they relate to the engineering geological conditions,seepage conditions,reservoir inundation,project area covered,diversion sand conditions,project layout and construction conditions etc.It is the important factors to the success and failure of project and economic benefit.At the same time,the lockage water flow has the characteristic of the low water head,large unit width discharge and low Froude number.The factors are likely to cause downstream and riverbed scouring on both sides.Therefore,the reasonable design of dam site and lockage flow regime is extremely important for the project of dam.In this paper,based on Wuxi Zhenquan sluice project,the sluice dam site are selected by comparison,reasonable layout of the dam building carries out,and the lockage water flow field information are analyzed by numerical simulation.The main works and results of this paper are as follows.(1)Based on the hydrological data,geological conditions,environmental assessment and other related information of Wuxi Zhenquan sluice project.The series of run-off,flood peak flow design of the dam,peak discharge and seasonal design fold,yearly bed-load and sediment discharge of mean annual suspended sediment are calculated.The impact on environment are analyzed due to the Wuxi Zhenquan sluice project.(2)The Wuxi Zhenquan sluice dam site are selected by comparison and its designs are calculated.According to relevant regulations,the two sites of the Zhenquan sluice dam are drawn up,and barrage,scouring sluice,intake gate are arranged reasonably.The Wuxi Zhenquan sluice dam site are selected by total investment compared.In the meantime,the barrage in the site suggested is designed,included the energy dissipation and anti-scour,permeate,stability and sedimentation.(3)The flow information of the lockage water flow through the Zhenquan sluice dam is obtained.With the all gates opened,the design flood discharge flow was simulated by Flow-3d software,included the numerical simulation process,the working condition and model,the method of the sluice dam model set up,boundary conditions and initial conditions.It reveals water discharge through sluice,free surface and the depth of water,velocity information,aeration,Froude number,turbulent kinetic energy and the energy dissipation rate distribution in the flow of information.(4)In order to avoiding the vortex and effecting lockage flow regime,the protruding soil at the front of the left wall should be excavated partially and the problems about the water diversion by the intake gate and the erosion of the soil at the front of the wall of the intake gate.
