| The sea accidents happened in the anchorage such as collision,stranding are mostly caused by dragging. Due to the small current, the effect on the mooring ship is very weak. So the most important factor leading to ship’s dragging is strong wind. The study about the safety assessment of the mooring ship affected by strong wind is particularly important. The domestic and foreign experts or scholars have done lots of the theoretical research and case study about various conditions of the mooring ship,and laid good foundation for the assessment of the mooring ship’s safety. But in actual anchoring operation, the driver is still taking qualitative or half quantitative methods,just like their own practical experience or empirical formula as lessons to evaluate the mooring ship’s safety. Accidents caused by dragging still occur. In order to provide the objective and quantitative references for the drivers, we need to do further research about mooring ship’s safety evaluation method.On the basis of reading a lot of the literatures, this paper decides to use the Yoshimura model which is the low speed, large draft angle mathematical model to establish the safety chain length calculation model. In order to verify the accuracy of the calculation model, this paper takes Tianjin port as an example and write the MATLAB program to get the safety chain length under the condition of different wind. By analyzing and comparing the calculation data, it conclude with the data and charts that has guiding significance to increase the safety of the mooring ships.The research of this paper is a preliminary attempt to quantitatively evaluate the mooring ship’s safety under strong wind, and provides the feasible theory basis for establishing more objective and reliable evaluation method. The results of this paper provide practical reference for drivers and security officers. |
