In the long-term development process of chain weapons, improving the firing accuracyand reducing recoil resistance is an important research topic. In this paper, aiming atdesigning12.7mm chain gun buffering device as the research object, according to the overalldesign scheme of the barrel buffer by chain gun used. Through estimating the mainparameters of the buffer, the buffer device adopts a spring hydraulic structure, combined withthe overall design scheme of this weapon, designed and optimized the parameters of thebuffer device, and then made simulation analysis on dynamic characteristics of buffer at work.The main research of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the analysis and calculation of the12.7mm chain gun’s breech force, drawthe graphics of the breech force with muzzle brake and without muzzle brake.(2)Based on the basic analysis and working principle, the physical model is established.Through the establishment of physical model, a clear design variables and the given technicalindicators are prepared for the parameter design and optimization. In the parameter design andoptimization, the ADAMS simulation software is used, and a set of optimal parameters that issuitable to12.7mm chain gun are obtained.(3)After the determination of the optimal parameters, through the analysis of the bufferdevice, the optimal structure parameters of the buffer device is designed. The hydraulicdamping part of the buffer device in this paper. Mainly adopts control rod, and that it canmatch the designed damping coefficient. This is the key to the design in this paper. The recoiland multiple stage of the buffer is completed by different parts of the control rod. Theadvantages of the control rod structure is compact, the structure is relatively simple,manufacture is convenient.
