Till today, the architectural style and design concept of human haveshifted several times, and each one was related to the contemporarytechnology, nature, religion, social background and philosophical conceptinextricably. Along with the development of technology and the increasingknowledge about the world, humans have created amounts of practical andadvanced product, while have lost our beautiful environment and harmoniousinterpersonal relationship as well. Nowadays, city in the world,especially in china, shows a helpless state on the whole, which could bedescribed as silent and inanimate.We can summarize the status quo from philosophy. One of an importantreason is the distortion of social value, which makes the building lessof feelings, less of capacity of communicating with others, less of thepower to create space for interpersonal communication. This directly leadsspace users less of the sense of home in their life and work. It is justthrough grasping design concept of architecture would we realize the senseof home, and a crucial method is to emphasize “spatial experience”.Spatial experience is private. An individual can only feel it byhimself and could not be replaced by others, not to mention being finishedby others. The emotional state of space users when they are in space, andthe action they create because of the influence of spatial situation, areconstituted of the total process of spatial experience. This article aims at advocating a design style that pays more attentionto spatial experience through analysis and discussing on spatialexperience, especially the architectural spatial experience. In addition,this article also intends to find a solution that spatial experience facedat present, and look for the sense of home that humans are need mostly intheir life.
