The high speed bogie is the key component and conditionality factor for the fast freight car development. A few types speed of160km/h truck were developed in China from year2000, and a series of tests has been done. The160km/h speed bogie further research is a main part of bogie technology and is very important for the high speed container and baggage railway transport. Reasearching of the160km/h high speed bogie will lead the way for railway fast freight transport equipments to the advanced of the world. The project of160km/h high speed freight bogie will not only fill the blank of internal but also make the research, design, manufacture, operation and repair of the railway freight cars to a higher level.To study the160km/h high speed bogie, at the frist, the main intercommunity character such as the bogie frame, axle-boxes, secondary suspensions, central plate, side bearing, axle load, wheelset and brake system was analyzed, based on the experience, a new type high speed bogie structure the suspension and main component setting was given. After that, a container flat truck MBS(Multi-Body System) vehicle system model which assembly the new bogie was set up,and the performance of bogie stability.sperling index and curve passing were predicted according to the Chinese railway standard GB/T5599-1985. The dynamic simulation shows all the dynamic indexes are satisfied. Then, the static strength and fatigue reliability of key parts, such as bolster, bogie frame, axle-box, were analyzed with FEM model. At the end of this paper, many tests were going on. Both the simulation and test results show that the front parts reliability is sufficed.The conclusion of the research would offer the theoretic support for the160km/h high speed bogie design in China. The new type bogie is very important sample, and it is much operation valuable to improve the freight car technology level.
