With the rapid development and the high-speed growth of national economy, Transportation business booming, bridge construction of municipal viaduct is becoming more and more, vehicles and other transportation is also increasing. At the same time due to various reasons, factors Including that defects of road management system, the defects of bridge facilities against dash, driver error driving, such as frequently occurred accident about piers by vehicle collision. The consequences that not only leads to a car crash, bridge damage, injuries, and extremely easy to cause serious traffic jams, direct and indirect cause huge economic losses. The current domestic and international research on the vehicle hit the bridge upper structure more perfect, to the study of vehicle crash pier is relatively less, so the stress mechanism and dynamic response of the pier under the truck bumping should be studied further.This paper first expounds the research status of vehicle crash pier problem both at home and abroad, and summarizes the basic theory research and the corresponding calculation method of vehicle-bridge collision; Then according the similar theory of control variables to design model scale test car bridge pier, The test of pier column response to different speed collision in the case of different quality of car, and to simulate test model by the finite element software ABAQUS. Verification the feasibility of impact test simulation using the finite element software; Finally, using the finite element software ABAQUS to establish the actual situation of finite element crash pier model, calculation and analysis of dynamic response of pier in different quality, different speed of automobile of the collision.Research results show that: The quality of the car, the greater the speed, The quality of the car, the greater the speed, the greater the displacement of pier in the direction of the collision, the more serious injury of bridge piers by collision. In order to guarantee the bump pier easy to repair, according to different load vehicles suggest the different speed limit.
