With the development of modern technology, electronic technology has been widely used in machinery, petroleum and chemical industry. The test of mechanical equipment provide the information for the automatic control system in the enterprise management, remote monitoring, equipment failure analysis. The test can promptly detect and predict faults that may exit in the equipment, so that people can analyze the types and causes of faults and take some effective maintenance timely to avoid the continuing deterioration of the operation. Pumps, as general machinery, are used in a wide range. In order to guarantee the safe running of the pump, pump detection is very important. Pump research lag far behind that in detection of aviation, aerospace and other high-tech industries, and the pump test still need to continuously research and explore. Whether pump detection method and measures is reasonable relates to stable operation of the pump set, and meet effectively the automatic control system needs. The unreasonable design of test method will affect not only the development of electronic technology with efficient, convenient, but also the normal operation of pump, even failure to start the pump group.This article mainly researches the high pressure pump unit including high-pressure decoking pump, high pressure feed water pump in power station, and hydraulic turbine pump unit. According to the pump structure, usage characteristic and usage environment, this article puts forward the main detection point of the pump. Through the analysis to main detection object and the instrument characteristics, this article gives out the concise and reasonable process of measuring points. Meanwhile it has given out the detailed explanation to the detection point and detection method. Combining with the unstable vibration signal on running time of high pressure BFP of Zhenhai Chemical plant, this article has analyzed and compared the material of being detected body, the manufacturing of surface, instrument selection and cable selection, and then concluded the advantages and disadvantages of measuring methods. The article has given out the detecting method to shaft vibration after the chromium plating process on shaft. Currently the eddy current sensor is usually being used for collecting shaft vibration signal of the sensor industry. In the scientific research institute, on measuring the vibration, it is not only adopting eddy current sensor but also adopting capacitance displacement sensor. Through comparing the principle of two kinds of sensors, we could use the capacitance displacement sensor to measure the shaft vibration in the condition of the pump shaft chrome plated. Through this test, we could use the capacitance displacement sensor in factory, so as to improve the reliability of vibration measurement.The continuously improvement of detection method to the site components could reduce the happening of fault, reduce the risk of accidents and improve the users’economic benefits.
