Study On The Use Of Space Of Old People In The City Comprehensive Park In He Fei

With the advent of the rapidly aging period, the aging population continues toincrease, the elderly have plenty of leisure time atfer retirement, and the city park hasbecome the most popular outdoor space for the elderly. With hefei city as an example, thisstudy selected three city comprehensive parks which the elderly relative aggregation andhigher satisfaction to research,through observation and analysis of the park spaceutilization patterns，characteristics and status of the elderly,to ifnd the specific needs andthe existing problems of the elderly in the using of park space environment..The mainstudy results are the follows:Based on the relevant literature the study summarized the physiological,psychological, and behavior characteristics of the elderly, inquired the relationship betweenthe special needs and the using of park space of the elderly in the theory,which providestheoretical basis for the following chapters.Using the method of Post Occupancy Evaluation(POE),Xinghua Park,Baohe Park andXiaoyaojin Park have been investigated，characetristics and the status quo of the using ofpark space environment of the elderly were obtained，the special needs and existingproblems of the elderly in using the park space were fond,and in-depth analysis of surveyresults has been done,atfer comprehensive evaluation some suggestions were put forward.Summarizing of the survey results has been done,and the basic information of theinterviewed elderly;distance,come-and-go ways, residence time and frequency of enteringthe Parks;the using form of park space of the elderly;the choosing tend of park spacetypes;activity characteristics in three parks of the elderly and subjective demands onenvironment and establishment,etc.were concluded from the analysis results.Based on the analysis and summarize, the use of space for ole people incomprehensive parks in hefei was not ideal，some existing questions such as activity spaceis small, the lack of service facilities; no-obstacle design is absence; activity ifeld is notscientifically distributed; detailed design for the elderly is not rational;the managementlevel needs to improve etc..were also coneluded.Some principles were put forward for thedesign of the comprehensive park space for elderly such as combination of static anddynamic，diversity levels, pay attention to the boundary, safe and convenient, perfectfacilities etc.the detailed design requirements of walk room，sitting and rest room，courtyardroom,water room,tree Planting,illumination and service establishment about the usingspace of the elderly were put forward;Concerning the other countermeasure，making totalsociety knowing the importance, perfecting the law system, ensuring funding sources in thepark,strengthening the management, etc. were also put forward.
