Abstract/Summary:
Intelligent bus transportation aystem is an important direction of the futuretraffic system and also an important way to solve problems in urban traffic. Tooptimize the operating conditions of the urban public transportation and to relieveurban traffic congestion phenomenon, we must stick to the prioritized position ofurban public transportation and vigorously develop the public transportation business.The construction of intelligent bus transportation can effectively improve themanagement level of bus companies and increase the operation efficiency and servicelevel of the public transport system. Meanwhle, it is an important step to thedevelopment of urban public transportation.Based on a large number of literatures and related designs, this paper employes3G technology, ARM and embedded Linux technology and proposes a way to thedesign and implemention of intelligent bus information transmission terminal basedon3G technology.3G, the third generation mobile communication technology, supports high speeddata transmission of cellular mobile communication technology. And its data transferspeed is above hundreds of KBPS. Currently, this technology has basically realized itscoverage over almost every city in China. Its characters like stable data transmission,high real-time performance and wide coverage and so on enable it to be an idealsolution to the intelligent bus system networking technology.The intelligent bus information transmission terminal based on3G is animportant part of intelligent transport system and also the core of the intelligent buson-board equipments. It is responsible for data collecting, receiving and processingfrom on-board equipments of the whole system, and realizing the function of two-waywireless transmission, etc. This paper detailly explains the design and implementationof the intelligent bus information transmission terminal based on3G, including anoverall scheme design of intelligent bus information transmission terminal, ahardware circuit design, a software system design and machine debugging, etc. Thepaper also puts forward some functional requirements of the system in the overalldesign and corresponding design schemes according to the requirements; As to thehardware design, specific hardware design principles are put forward and key issuesrelated to hardware selection and design are discussed in the paper. As to softwaredesign, this paper firstly introduces the terminal embedded Linux systemtransplantation and its related driving modification, and then detailly explains the design and implementation of the application function. In the last part of the parper,the terminal hardware and software debugging and testing processes are introduced.After many tests and modifications, the terminal we studied achieves function oftransmiting data from the DVR machine, GPS automatic stops and the LED display.The terminal has been tested in Changsha city buses and the measured result is good.
