The Role Of Guangfu Ancestral Hall In Traditional Community Spatial Development And Its Modern Implications

With the social and economic development, our modern community constructionhas been rapid development. Community living environment has been greatlyimproved, living standard has also been greatly improved. But there are manyproblems of modem community, such as community relations indifference, lack of asense of belonging, community spatial organization unreasonable. What form a sharpcontrast with this is that the traditional community has a beautiful living environment,and creates conditions for people to interact, and promote the harmoniousinterpersonal relationship. Although the traditional communities are the product ofspecial historical circumstances, but they are not worthless for modern, we need toidentify and understand them, and know the excellent traditional architectural cultureleft in the history.This essay takes the traditional community space as the research object, throughthe analysis of three cases, and mainly researches the role of Guangfu ancestral hall intraditional community spatial development. This actually pays attention to how toproduce cohesion in the community through the planning and building techniques.The analysis of traditional community space which takes the Guangfu ancestral hall asthe subject have been used for two purposes: one is that fully understanding the partGuangfu ancestral hall played in the traditional community space; the other is to findsome inspirations that we can take as a reference in the modern community planning.This essay is divided into six chapters, and can be fallen into three parts:The first part is the chapter I and Chapter II, as the base of this study. The firstchapter is an introduction, describes the research background, the research purpose,object, content, research situation, the significance of research methods, and proposesthe framework of this research. The second chapter introduces the basic concepts andthe theories, at the same time, summarizes the basic theory related to this paper.The second part is the subject of the research, including chapters III, IV, and V.The third chapter mainly carries on the analysis to the three traditional communityspace from the three aspects of point-line-surface. The fourth chapter base on the third chapter, summarize the role of traditional community organization ancestral hall spaceat the material level and spiritual level, meaning to explore space in the ancestraltemple in the community. The fifth chapter is the part of theoretical application. Withthe precondition of fully understudied the role of Guangfu ancestral hall in traditionalCommunity Spatial Development, concludes its revelation of the modern communityplanning and design.The third section includes Chapter VI, as the part of conclusion and discussion.The final chapter concludes all the works of this paper and looks ahead to its prospect.Through the analysis, we can find that the Guangfu ancestral hall has a high degree oforganization effect on traditional community space, mainly reflected in three aspectsof the core of the space, the center of life, symbol of the spirit. In the moderncommunity planning, also need to establish a multi-level community center which is ahighly combination center consists of a space center, function center and spirit center.
