Nowadays，the adverse development of urban and rural makes a lot of environment problems，people began to explore measures of improving the urban and rural environment。With the high-speedadvance of urbanization，the demand of people for green open space is increasing，the construction ofurban and rural focus more attention on creating landscape features and ecological corridor。It is themain task of China’s urban and rural construction that how we can reach urban and rural green leisurelifestyle， urban and rural regional economic integration， ecological environment space withgreen-oriented means and meeting the intensive land using of urban and rural。as a new concept，Rural and urban greenways system forms the continuous and overall landscapeof urban and rural，it provides recreational establishments within easy reach of surrounding residentsand it also assumes the functions of ecological corridor.In addition，It makes an important supplementand improvement for urban and rural ecological environment.Today, the world is in full swing withthe planning and construction of the urban and rural greenway.We need to solve many problems in theprocess of rapid development of urban and rural greenways. this article puts those problems as thestudy object，It determines the content, method and evaluation system of the rural and urbangreenways planning using of urban and rural greenway planning theory, function and planningprinciples.It placed too much emphasis on putting forward on the rural and urban greenways planningpurposes,project features and solving problems.Finally, the article attempts the advanced experience of the rural and urban greenways planningand applied it to the actual planning of the project.The Shanhaiguan rural and urban greenwayconstruction project is being implemented currently.The urban and rural greenway construction is not only green,healthy,but also energy saving andenvironmental protection.Building the rural and urban greenway system is the only way to achievesustainable development in urban and rural areas.
