Electrical connectors are used as a fundamental component of the electrical connection between the transmission of signal and control as well as electronic and electrical equipment, and applied in aerospace, electronics, communications and other industries in a wide range, a great number and also a very important position. This paper takes the reliability of electrical connectors as the object of study, analyzes failure mechanisms and builds a parametric model. Based on this, this paper simulates and analyzes the experiment of temperature and vibration stress which are the main factors to affect the reliability of electrical contact.(1) Review and summarize the electrical connector reliability study of the development history and status and analyze the failure mechanism of the electrical connectors. With the main failure mode of contact failure taken as the object of study, point out that the main factors for the cause of electrical contact failure and affect the contact reliability are temperature and vibration stress.(2) Build a parametric model of the electrical connectors, by modifying some or all of the dimensions the analysis model can be quickly carried out, and laid the analytical foundation for the simulation process.(3) Simulate the temperature field and the temperature-structure interaction distribution field of the electrical connector, analyze the failure physical processes of the electrical connectors under the temperature stress, and propose to achieve reliable growth program of electrical connectors under the influence of temperature.(4) Study the process of contact failure of the electrical connectors under the vibrational stress, analyze the state of motion and mechanical model of contact pair, propose to achieve reliability growth program under the vibrational stress of the electrical connector and simulate the separation process test of electrical connector contact, give the design process to determine the separation force range.By utilizing computer-aided design and calculation to simulate the work of electrical connectors, this paper does accurate and efficient exploration and research on the reliability of electrical connectors, and has higher superiority.
