With theemergence of the consistent highway landscape, people prefer to enjoy highway with morecharacteristics. The appearance of highway landscape with local cultural characteristicsinjects fresh vitality for highway landscape design. Not only can it improve highwaylandscape connotation, but also shows and protects the local culture. Therefore, It’sdesigners’ responsibilities to study cultural atmosphere in highway landscape and shapelocal cultural characteristics, which in order to meet people’s spiritual and cultural needs,reflecting the contemporary artistic taste and aesthetic approach.Based on the situation of the present construction of our country’s highway landscapeand the related cultural background and the related domestic and overseas researches, thispaper will emphasize the importance and necessity of culture connotation for theconstruction of highway landscape in our country. To solve the question, this paper willelaborate the concerning concept and nature of local culture ecological culture, and studythe theory related to the design of highway landscape from the aspects of aesthetics,psychology, ecology and environmental behavior science. From the point of culture, theexample analysis was used in the research into the contents of designing the landscapecorridor and landscape node in the space of highway landscape and the designingprinciples and methods of the cultural elements when designing the highway landscape.The main principles are these: highlighting historical and cultural identification, andshowing the useful area and economy; the special design corresponding to the modernideas of substantial development and art aesthetic. The main methods are as follows:view borrowing, combining protection and utilization, introduction and display, abstractionand extension, and so on. What’s more, it discussed creatively from the field of view inorder to add the cultural elements into the designing of highway landscape.Taking the highway landscape plan and design of Hefei Xinqiao International Airportexpressway as an example, the theme is the era of the developing of Wan Jiang city belt(the ared of Yangtze River Flowing through in Anhui province), and the design concept ofit was Dragon on the sky of Wan Jiang. The theme of culture was presented as fivesections: the charming Anhui, the grand scenery of Wan Jiang, the crowdy tide of Wan Jiang, setting sail in the wings of wind, the city of innovation. Find the cultural contents inAnhui area such as the history, tradition and the city belt. In the form of landscape, use theblocks of colors and combine the arbor, shrub and grass to show the cultural elements suchas Anhui local dwelling in the south of Anhui, the high special wall, and the famousbusinessman of Anhui. All of these provided the principles and methods to extract thecultural elements, which will guide the future researchers to add the cultural elements intothe design of highway landscape to show the cultural characteristics of the ares. |
