It’s very important for radio and television transmitting station to ensure the powersupply security, directly related to whether the program can be broadcast normally or not.So, two or more power supplies should be equipped. Furthermore, the generator is alsoconsidered to be equipped. Although the power supply system is complicated, but it isdifficult to assign specific person to ensure the security of the power supply system7*24hours.The problem can be solved if we use a remote monitoring system which can send theinformation of parameters of the power supply system to the control room.On the basis of researches on other power supply monitoring systems, combiningwith intelligent instruments and software, the thesis puts forward a suitable schemeintegrating hardware with software. And following results are obtained:1. An effective and reliable hardware system is developed to monitor the parametersof the two external power supplies of our station. If a fault or fault recovery in the powersupply system exists, the corresponding alarm will take place.2. A matching software system is developed. Through the communication interface ofthe intelligent instruments, the parameters of the external power supply are sampled,displayed and recorded. When there’s an fault, the message will be sent to the messagemodule of course, following problems exist during the designation of the system.1. Not only the intelligent instruments, but also the electronic components are neededto form a completed hardware system. If the intelligent instruments and the electroniccomponents are combined simply, the danger will be hidden, and the appearance isunsightly. In order to solve this problem, a special chassis are designed and manufactured.2. If the distance between the communication interface of the intelligent instruments and the computers is too far, the normal communication will be influenced by thetransmission loss. If the number of the intelligent instruments increases, the number of thecommunication interface of the computers should be increased, too. It means thescalability of the system is not enough. We consider a serial server be used to solve thisproblem.
