Green spacemaster planning is to formulate long-term strategic planning to improve urbanenvironmental quality and landscape charm directly. Integration of urban natural heritageand historical heritage, from the point of view of the green space system is particularlyimportant and urgent.Firstly, the paper systematically summarized and reviewed the development processand cutting-edge dynamic of heritage protection function on green space system planningat home and abroad. Seeking for innovative approaches about the traditional green space’svitality and charm from the international perspective. And it mentions that historical andcultural city’s green space system planning should resolve the constituent features of thegreen environment in the texture of the traditional space in the plane","line","point"three levels. From historical perspective, discovering the inheritance genes in shaping thegreen space’s traditional style, thus constructing theories and methods, which is suitablefor the Chinese historical and cultural city’s green space system planning.
