In today’s society, the power shortage has become a very difficult problem, the powersystem as a provider of electricity, how to make it more efficient to run production and therational allocation of power problems need to be solved. Hydropower as an important partof the power system, is also facing the same problem. Water resource as the productiveresources of Hydropower is also shortage. Economic operation of Hydropower research isan extremely important research topic, because of the extremely shortage of hydro-powerresources.The paper emphasizes on the study of algorithm and implement of hydropower planteconomic operation, which is based on the engineering project—the economic operationof Qushou Hydropower Plant monitoring system in Xinjiang Province.By the study ofcomparing different algorithms,I chose Dynamic programming in this paper to analysisthe problem of economic distribution of the generator sets’ load and the generator setsoptimized combination in hydropower plant.This paper is organized as follows. Firstly, I introduced the research situation ofhydropower plants’economic operation, Subsequently, I studied and compared most of thealgorithms of economic operation, and dynamic programming is adopted to realize planteconomic operation at last, which is based on optimizing running of Qushou HydropowerPlant’s generator sets. Finally, I used the Visual c++programming language to implementthe algorithm and solved the problem of economic distribution of the generator sets’ loadand the generator sets optimized combination in hydropower plant. In the paper, I usedthe Microsoft SQL Server2000as the database to save and transfer the data in the program.I finally get the ideal result by the calculated of the program.
