At present, with the performance of electric market reform and the greater difference between maximum and minimum of load in power grid, it has great value to research the load optimal dispatching of thermal power plant. This desertion mainly discusses the whole framework of optimal dispatching system based on SIS (Supervision Information System) from the view of power plant side. The paper includes the following parts: firstly, selecting subsection quadratic function to approach the characteristic curve of coal consumption of one generator set; secondly, applying dynamic programming method to solve the mathematic model which describes load economical distribution among generator sets; finally, proposing an advanced genetic algorithm to solve the problem of generator sets combination.
