Any effective quality control, rehabilitation or repair to a bridge demands first aproper understanding of its existing condition. This understanding starts with acomprehensive bridge inspection, which leads to a diagnosis process on whether hazards ordamage imperiling bearing capacity and durability of bridge. Maintenance costs of bridgewould be saved greatly if defects of bridge could be found. Thus, from economic andsocial benefit perspectives, early detection of defects and repair can effectively reducemajor economic losses caused by frequent overhaul or closing transportation or trafficinterruption, and to avoid negative effects caused by bridge accidents.Under the condition of low temperature, moist environment, and frequent extremeclimate change, the deck diseases are extremely prominent in seasonally frozen regions ofnorthern China. It is becoming an urgent problem to how to improve the level of qualitytesting techniques of bridge in engineering field. The paper researches the scope ofdifferent testing technology and strives to improve the detection accuracy in practicalengineering applications. While applying a variety of testing techniques, the paperresearches the feasibility of ground penetrating radar detection, analyzed radar anomalyidentification and properties of a variety of typical diseases road of bridge, includingultrasonic testing flat test and the measured propagation velocity effects, the differencesand accuracy of concrete strength at different detection methods, the effect of contrastdetection characteristics, the specific issues in steel reinforcement position and corrosiondetection, the influencing factors of nondestructive testing techniques different methods.These provide technical support for practical application of engineering. |
