In century21, the industry of exhibition museum has a rapid growth, especially insome developed countries. In China, the demand for building more museums is onincrease as economy is growing and people’s life quality is higher. We are facing a peakperiod of museum construction. Shenzhen, a leading city in China, comes up with astrategy called “Culture based city”. As a result, a lot of cultural architectures have beenconstructed to develop the culture atmosphere. Among all the cultural architectures,exhibition architecture is one important type. The purpose of this essay is to research thehistory, development reason and current status of exhibition architectures, comprehendthe construction concept and trend, analyze the advantage and disadvantage and providesupport for future design and research.This essay has6chapters.Chapter1: The overview of the essay. It includes the background, researchframework and previous research findings and the main purpose of the essay.Chapter2: The general description of the current status of exhibition architectureand culture innovation industry and their relationship.Chapter3: Analyze the new requirement that culture innovation industry has forexhibition architecture.Chapter4: Based on different type of exhibition architecture in Shenzhen,summarize the design trend of exhibition architecture to adapt to culture innovationindustry.Chapter5: Though industry practice of HONGKONG and MACAU, analyze thedevelopment trend of exhibition architecture regarding type, functionality and space.Chapter6: Current problems and prospective research area.Appendix A uses the actual case to further analyze the feasibility and weakness ofexhibition architecture design method.
