With the building area of construction project is more and more bigger and theconstruction schedule requirements is more and more faster,it usually needs more towercrane to decorate and causes many tower crane collision accident。Thus, it is anextremely urgent task for collision system which fit our country’ national conditions todevelop immediately.This paper introduced the tower crane collision principle at first. Tower crane andstatic obstacles was placed in3D coordinate which has been set. Then tower cranecollision types was analyzed and corresponding collision scheme was put forward foreach collision type. In order to realize tower crane collision avoidance, it needs to getthe coordinates of parts easy to collide in large arm front-end and balance arm end.Through the analysis, if the car coordinate was known, the coordinates of parts easy tocollide could be calculated according to the length of big arm and balance arm. Thecoordinate in lifting hook also can be confirmed according to the car coordinate.Therefore, the position of tower crane’s lifting hook must be fixed. After the analysis ofseveral common localization algorithms, Zigbee was selected to fix position andproposed collision avoidance scheme finally. The tower crane collision avoidance couldbe realized according to the collision avoidance scheme.Using Lab view, the unknown node and the edge of tower crane node wascalculated and convert to the same coordinate, the collision avoidance scheme andcollision warning for big arm and balance arm and buildings were realized.The positioning algorithm was verified finally, and the transmission condition ofZigbee in the open air. Experimental results showed that the error within2.5m of positioning could be realized within50meters, and information transmission of towercrane anti-collision system was guaranteed at the same time.
