The tower crane as the horizontal and vertical lifting transportation machinery andequipment is now commonly used on the construction site that has the characteristicsuch as working with high gravity center and operating with a big radius whichbelonging to high area working.However,the frequence of the tower crane has rosealong with the increase in large projects as well as application amount.Therefore,it isan imminent task to develop the tower crane monitoring which suit to our nationalconditions quickly.Aiming at the shortcomings of the tower crane monitoring,this paper did anyexplorative reaserch by introducing the ultrasonic ranging technology、ZigBee wirelessnetwork technology and Web technology for wireless transmission.The experimentalresults show that the tower crane safety early warning technology based on ultrasonicdistance measuring can be effective for tower crane safety’s information whichimproves the range of the sensor;ZigBee network stability in transmission undercomplex weather conditions that conform to the requirements of the tower cranemonitoring and early warning;Realizing the transmission of information to the clientfor remote monitoring that ased on the research of the Ethernet communication moduleand the design of the B/S architecture scheme.Main research contents are as follows:1.Getting the surrounding obstacles information is the first premise to realize thetower crane early warning,design the ultrasonic ranging over a long distance testsystem for distance measurement technology research,not only increase the monitoringscope of ultrasonic sensor but also research on the threshold value method and the time delay estimation algorithm,through the contrast test results applied to the algorithm ofthis system, improve the ranging accuracy. These two points are guaranteed to get theinformation for monitoring and early warning system.2.Zigbee wireless network can have stability test analysis in complicatedweather.Proposing the classification method of complex weather on the basis of theinfluence factors of electromagnetic wave propagation and types by the propagationmedium,analyzing the wind and rain、rain、sand three kinds of complex weather impacton wireless sensor network and doing the actual data transmission experiment.3.Achieving the front-end sensor to collect information through Ethernetcommunication module and to communicate a Web server through the Linux systemdevelopment environment and the establishment of ARM hardware platform,thattransmit the data to the monitoring center based on B/S mode eventually.
