With the continuous development of society,people make new demands on thebuilding structure. And in the whole process of housing construction,we should ownsenvironmental protection, energy conservation, industrialization awareness.Therefore, the prefabricated frame structure system instead of cast-in-place concretestructural frame,is to adapt to the new demands of the society to the building structure.Better confined of high strength spiral reinforcement on the concrete can improvethe brittleness of concrete and its ductility, which is conducive to improve the seismicperformance. In this article,the new fabricated column is proposed, which uses twoelements of confined concrete with high-strength stirrups and fabricated structures.And a new connection type of frame fabricated column is proposed that is connectiontype of steel plate and horizontal strengthened bars. The tectonic processes at theconnections of the new fabricated column are as follows: First,the embedded steelplates are welded to the longitudinal bars of the upper and lower column. And theoutside steel plates covered in embedded steel plate of the upper and lower column. Atthe specified location of the holes is provided, and horizontal reinforced pass throughreserved holes in the steel plate and concrete columns which tip welded on the outsidesteel plate. And the upper and lower column connected to a whole column. In thepaper, we use methods of the experimental research and numerical simulation tostudy the performance of the seismic performance and force experimental of newfabricated confined concrete column with steel plate and horizontal strengthened bars.A new connection type of frame fabricated column is proposed that is connectiontype of steel plate and horizontal strengthened bars. By use of the comparable full scalemodel test method,two new confined concrete columns with steel plate and horizontal strengthened bar and two cast-in-site columns with plain stirrups were designed andconstructed. Through the pseudo-static test, the seismic performance of newfabricated confined concrete column with steel strengthened plate horizontal bar wasstudied and compared with the cast-in-site column with plain stirrups.The wholeprocess of deforming-damaging-cracking-yielding-failure was observed during thetest.Damage characteristics,hysteretic curves,skeleton curves,stiffness degradation,displacement ductility and energy dissipation capacity of the four columns werediscussed.The test results showed that under the same condition, bearing capacity ofnew fabricated confined concrete columns with steel plate and horizontal strengthenedbar was equal to the cast-in-site columns with plain stirrups, it also had good seismicbehavior. We can conclude that new fabricated confined concrete columns with steelplate and horizontal strengthened bar whose’ junction used welding and horizontal baras its attended mode was reliable.In order to satisfy reasonable force requirements of the fabricated column, themechanical properties of the connected nodes should be analyzed and researched. Andthe cross-section bearing-capacity formula of the connection node were deduced. Andthe cross-section bearing capacity formula,formula of strength calculation of the weldsand steel plate of the connection node were deduced, which provides the test data andtheoretical basis for the design method of the new connection node.Based on Experiment of the seismic performance of concrete columns newfabricated confined concrete columns with steel plate and horizontal strengthenedbar,the finite element model of the dimensional entity of the assembly column isestablished under different conditions with ABAQUS software.And through analysisand research component in the process of the reciprocating horizontal load force,sizeof deformation,and stress-strain distribution. The paper is a comprehensive evaluationto the seismic performance and engineering applications of the fabricated column.
