Aircraft tire is the only part in contact with the ground during taking off andlanding, and one of the crucial safety components. Due to the technical difficultiesof the development of radial aircraft tires and the high precision required, and theprocesses of the production of radial aircraft tires and car tires are very different,special tooling equipment are needed for the development and production. Atpresent, the most urgent need to develop radial aircraft tire tooling equipment is thecircular twisted wire beads wrapping machine. Circular twisted wire beads canreceive strength evenly, and is rich in high strength and excellent beads mechanicalproperties. Foreign high-performance radial aircraft tire wire beads circle of thisstructure has been widely used. Due to the lack of this kind of wire beads wrappingmachine, we can only use conventional hexagonal beads structure in China, whoseperformance is much worse than the circular twisted wire beads. This article is todesign the structure of the circular wire beads wrapping machine and experimentalstudies of the wrapping.First of all, the different wrapping processes between the circular twisted wirebeads and traditional beads are discussed, confirming the functions of wrappingmachine and the mathematics model of the circular twisted wire beads, and buildingup the control equations needed in the wrapping control system. The ABAQUS isalso used in the analysis of the static and dynamic performance. What’s more, theanalysis process parameters on the circular wire beads of the influence ofmechanical properties qualitative is carried out.Then, on the basis of ensuring the function of the wrapping machine and thedesign scheme and difficulties, the design of drive system of wire plate, clampsystem of wire beads, drive system of wire beads, cutting system of wire,wingspanof the wrapping machine and so on are completed finally. Static and dynamicperformance are analyzed in Workbench, obtaining the deformation, naturalfrequencies and vibration characteristics, and achieving the prototype developmentafter the processing and assembly.Finally, dynamic performance analysis and wrapping experiments are carriedout to verify the results of modal simulation and the rationality of the design.Experimental studies of the selection of the beads lead find out the optimal lead,N=6. Analysis of the reasons why the wire beads connector is not in the correctplace is included. The article also proposes the patch parameters for the controlequation and improves control system. And then suggestion on improving the structural design of the machine is put forward.
