A simulator for satellite power supply and distribution (PSD) system is usedfor satellite ground integrated test. When the real satellite does not yet have teststatus, the simulator participates in ground PSD test as a satellite. In order to ensurethe satellite ground power supply test system reliability, we need to use the PSDsimulator as a satellite alternative to access to the ground PSD test system beforethe real satellite access the ground test system. Previous simulators are dedicated,that is, only for a particular satellite. These dedicated simulators have poorperformance in generalization.For the current status, this thesis proposed a general satellite PSD simulator.The simulator is designed with a new idea that is using a general chassis coordinatewith a dedicated adapter box. Through the PC software configure the input andoutput signal channels, this device can meet the universal testing requirements. Thisthesis analyzes the satellite simulator current status and developing trend, and hasan in-depth study of these certain existing satellite PSD simulators’ signal types aswell as quantitative. This thesis analyzes the satellite status of research anddevelopment at home and abroad, and in-depth study of the supply and distributionof certain special-equivalent input output signal type and number of channels, onthe basis of supply and distribution discussed the working principle of equivalenceand for universal requirement analysis, proposed a generic equivalent for thedistribution function and the technical indicators. On the basis of discussing thePSD simulator operating principle and the general requirements analysis, wepropose the function and technical index of general satellite PSD simulator. Internalchassis is designed based on the overall structural of RS485bus. Modules arehooked on the bus including master control module, signal acquisition module,feedback output module. The master control module using PC/104as the maincontroller is the core of the whole system. Signal acquisition module detect allinput signals of the simulator a feedback output module output all the feedbacksignals. PC software operating system is Windos XP, and the developmentenvironment using LabWindows/CVI10.0. We use XML (Extensible MarkupLanguage) file store configuration information which has much easier and moreeffective way to define the structure of management information than Access, SQLServer and other database. The parameter configuration function can beimplemented by configure content, store information, load configuration and judge mapping. When applied to a specific model satellite, according to the input andoutput resources that the model required, we can select the desired signal channelsand configure channels’ name and remote control-instruction.The result of this general satellite PSD simulator used in a real ground PSDtest shows that the simulator achieves the expected general function and has correctmapping between input and output, met the test requirements.
