Low temperatures and large temperature difference can cause early pavement cracking, but the current cold arctic regions damaged asphalt pavement settlement system research hasnot yet formed. So to find the low temperature performance-based pavement materialselection methods and pavement structure design method is proposed a reasonable solution atlow temperature cracking of asphalt pavement construction technology specific technicalrequirements and to ease the arctic cold cracking of asphalt pavement, improve road buildingdesign system, for the long-term performance of road cold regions research and economicsustainable development of great significance.Based on this, the research group combines Hulunbeier low temperatures and largetemperature difference between the characteristics of the arctic region to carry out acombination of pavement structure type proposed by improving the amount of mixture ofasphalt, gradation, porosity and other indicators to improve the low temperature performanceof the road and enhance its ability to freeze-thaw damage. In this thesis through research analysis, larger temperature difference between the coldand the pavement structure, the paper introduces TB composite powder and SBS modifiedbitumen solution, using warm mix asphalt technology to test road built to withstand coldweather conditions for the pavement structure the damaging effects while protect its hightemperature stability, fatigue resistance can meet requirements to ensure that the servicefunctions of the pavement structure and extend the life of asphalt pavement.Findings on China’s regional temperatures and large temperature difference between theconstruction of the road is important, but also for the low-temperature region of long-lifepavement studies provide new research directions.
