To develop urban publicbuilding fire assessment index system, no matter for people-oriented, or building aharmonious society, it has a positive practical significance.This paper introduces the urban public building fire evaluation index systemresearch status in domestic and foreign, expounded various related research base ofpublic buildings fire indicator system, for the characteristics of urban public buildings,determining the discrimination principle of selecting the factors, and then given thecity public buildings fires factors; Secondly, based on the system evaluation methods,and the use of interpretative structural modeling, urban public buildings fires factorswere stratified treatment, and constructed the urban public buildings fire evaluationsystem; Third, based on the urban public building fire evaluation index system, givenmethods and grading policy to determine the weight of each index of urban publicbuildings prevention capabilities comprehensive evaluation, using two-stageevaluation model to determine ratings, select the part of the comprehensive evaluationindex pertinently, and given the level of urban public building fire preventioncapability, in order to valuate the ability of urban public buildings fire prevention;Finally, a case of application, providing a strong practical application method.Urban public building fire prevention capabilities comprehensive evaluation takea full account of the fire element, simplify the evaluation process, highlighting themain issues, ensure that the evaluation results of the scientific and practical, proposedrational management recommendations to urban public building fire preventioncapability, help to improve urban public buildings fire prevention capacity and reducepublic building fires and the losses.
