With the cranes increasing in the industrial production, crane driver for professionaldemands increased the application of bridge crane training simulator based on virtualreality technology become popular.Simulator system has two parts: software simulation and hardware simulation. ThisPaper concerned with Software simulation.In this Simulator, every0.5seconds, hardware part will provides crane statusinformation to software part, such as spread position, boom angle, claw status and so on,then real-time rendering crane working scene will be updated by software system.Use open source software system OGRE graphics engine as our developmentplatform, combining input engine, to realize our software system of Simulator.Depending on the hardware work processes, we designed and implemented oursoftware part of the simulator. System for container operations were object-orienteddesigned, and implements the crane lifting operations for software simulations. Takinginto account realistic of the virtual scene, the soft system also adds the ocean, the sky,which has enhanced the realism of the virtual scene. Last, use3DSMax modeling tools tocreate port model, crane model, ship model, set the card model and container model.
