A Freeway Layout Planning Approach Of Guizhou Based On Mechanisms Of Regional Economic Association

With the rapid development of Chinese national economy, road transport infrastructure hasexperienced rapid construction period and continuous improvement of the construction period.Highway which plays an important role in the modern highway construction is an artery ofthe regional transport network. Domestic and international experience shows that a reasonablehighway planning is the premise and guarantee of highway construction. Compared with theordinary road and the highway, highway has its unique characteristics, but existing planningtheory is not complete. Mostly highway planning theories focus on the relevance of theeconomy and the road network. To a certain stage of economic development, the highwaybecomes the product of the economic development and it has a unique interactive andrelevance with economic development. So highway planning should be combined with theeconomic development.This paper first analyzes the interaction between the regional roads’ traffic demand and thesocio-economic development. Through the principal component analysis, we select the keyindicators among the many economic indicators. Then we use the idea of "Regional strategicplanning—�'Highway network planning←�'The adjustment of industrial layout planning.”To establish the interaction model between the road network morphology and the economicstructure, we use the way which combines qualitative and quantitative methods. And weinterpret the interaction and the strong correlation mechanism of “Road networkdevelopment——the evolution of regional industrial and economic layout.” Finally a freewayplanning approach based on mechanisms of regional economic association has been given.And it has been described separately from the text and model calculations.This paper uses the example of Guizhou’s highway planning. Through the analysis of thesocio-economic development of Guizhou province, the highway traffic demand of Guizhouprovince is predicted.
