The Dashila area is a sensitive spot in the Urban Renewal of Beijing. It has beentaken several plan over the past two decades. From the perspective of historical locationand urban demand,it has proposed that the development and utilization of undergroundspace is a reasonable and available approach to promote the protection and updating ofheritage site.In the first, the research presents the context and significance,that is,historical andcultural heritage protection in recent decades and the development of urbanunderground space. Combing the historical trace of the Dashila area,the paper analysisand puts forward the influence factors of underground space planning. Finally this paperstudies the Dashila area of underground space development and site selection,function,model,shape,layout and other elements,and through the important node of the design,put forward comprehensive rational, people-oriented, progressive urban designstrategy,will implement results of urban design further. This article focuses its researchon the location,function,pattern,conformation and layout of the underground space inthe ancient heritage site.This paper is an attempt,that is,through the development of underground space tosolve the conservation and renewal’s problem,and expects to promote the preservationof conservancy district of history and culture in the future.
