| The Uyghur people created a unique urban culture of Uyghur Nationality in theprocess of adapt to specific environment, which is an important part of Chinese nationalurban history, also is an indispensable content of the Chinese urban planning history.The study of Uyghur city did not cause enough attention for a long time, because of therestriction of objective conditions of historical documents, communication and otheraspects. This thesis takes the traditional Uyghur nationality settlement of Wensu inXinjiang province as the research object, through field survey and the sorting of existinghistorical literature, in order to get a new understanding of Uighur urban settlement andWensu settlement construction.At first, the thesis combs the formation process of Uyghur nationality and itshistorical and cultural characteristics, analysis the changes of the urban settlementbefore and after the formation of Uyghur nationality in Xinjiang province, does overallresearch on the existing distribution of Uyghur urban settlements and the characteristicsof typical settlements, provides the overall field of vision in understanding theconstruction characteristics of Wensu Uighur settlement; Because Wensu has certainrepresentativeness in the city history of Xinjiang region, the thesis based on the analysisof its natural, cultural and social environment, generalizes the human settlementdevelopment of Wensu, sorts out the characteristics of the urban settlement changeduring the three periods: before and after the formation of Uyghur nationality in Wensuand multiracial blend period. On this basis, the thesis analyzes the WenSu settlementconstruction characteristics, including the settlements layout and the natural environment, location and orientation, national culture and the settlement landscape,streets and lanes landscape, environment construction, typical architecture, etc., andsummarizes the construction characteristics of Wensu Uygur traditional settlement. |
