The Scenic Area Landscape Design Research On Account Of Regional Taoism Culture

With the rapid development of modern society, the world is increasingly globallyinterconnected, and regional culture has been seriously challenged, so people bega n toreview the importance of the regionality. Landscape design must emphasize the regionalfactors to ensure continuous development.Taoism is a unique religion in China with an ancient cultural history dating backmore than2,000years. Similarly, there present different Taoist cultures after developingcenturies or even millennia throughout the country, as well as the impact and integrationwith various local cultures. Today, Taoism also offers important guidance to all levelsof social development; hence, the Taoist culture has been vigorously promoted, givingthe rise of Taoist cultural scenic area. When stressing the regional landscape design, weshall investigate the regional characteristics for the landscape planning for the Taoistcultural scenic area, which can be full of regional characteristics only with thepresentation of landscape design restricted by regional natural conditions and integratedwith the local culture after the designer’s full understanding and summarization of thegeographical characteristics of local Taoist culture, so as to provide a regional landscapedesign with proper sense.This paper proceeds from the concept and connotation of the regional landscapedesign, and analyzes the status and problems of ignoring the cultural traditions of stronglocal characteristics during the process of landscape design for many large tourist scenic areas when the globalized cultural distance is gradually reduced and the contents tend toassimilation. The author finally concludes that the landscape design of Taoist culturescenic area, being influenced by the Taoist culture, should also pay attention to the localregional culture and the physiographic conditions at the same time.It then takes Yunqiu Mountain Taoist Cultural Scenic Area as an example, gives anin-depth analysis of the regional characteristics of the nature and human, to determinethat the landscape design requires the rational use of natural resources and theregional culture to be respected and integrated.Finally, this paper, based on the landscape design of Yunqiu Mountain TaoistCultural Scenic Area the author has once participated in, as well as by concerning withactual cases, intends to find the source of landscape design from natural resources andgeographical contexts, seeking to have a profound manifestation of regional culture. Itconducts regional planning design based on the current divisions of Yunqiu MountainScenic Area, and makes actual landscape design and planning separately from thedesign elements such as architectures, roads, plants, sketches, etc., which finally allowsthe integration of landscape design with geographical environment, and highlights theharmoniousness, sustainability and development with the environment.
