As a clean and renewable energy, wind energy has already been a strategicchoice of national readjustment of the energy structure in china. In recent years, although wind energy has developed rapidly, the core technology and maincomponents of wind turbines are mainly depend on the manufactures overseas indomestic market. In particular, plc control system for MW-Class wind generators iscompletely monopolized by foreign manufacturers. In such background, it is veryimportant to research and develop plc control systems with independent intellectualproperty right. On the basic of the project of " Localization of PLC controller in wind turbine",the communication systems of wind generators are analyzed in detailed, and anetworking basing control system with open type is presented in this paper. The basicidea of this system is distributed data acquisition and centralized processing. The implementation of the system hardware is achieved by using a modularstructure. The entire system is designed in the structure of FPAG and the W5100. Asthe core of the system, a design of the main control module with master-slaverprocessor is adopted. It is also expand CAN, RS232, USB and other communicationinterface for performance test and communication control. As a key point, the data mutual transmission protocols between modules aredesigned by this paper. In addition, a CANopen master protocol is designed, whichmeet the requirements of frequency conuersion control system. To meet the demandof pitch-control, a protocol of IP-CAN is put forward. In order to meet the monitorrequirements for wind turbines control system, a remot SCADA system based onModbus/TCP protocol and HMI system based on ONC/RPC protocol were proposed. The significance of the protocols were realized and related test are conducted insimulation environment. The results show that the communication of each part of thesystems can work for exended periods, stradily and reliably.
