| Along with the development of the construction, steel structure is more and more attentioned by people. In the construction of steel structure, the steel frame is one of the most frequently used structural systems.It has been widely used in foreign, countries because of its advantages,and it is developing quickly in China. Compared with the concrete structure,the steel structure has a lot of advantages. At the same time, the infilled wall become a essential part of the structure because of the using functional requirements. At present, Steel structure design doesn’t consider the effect of infilled walls on the whole structure, but consider the self-weight of filling wall and use the concept of period reduction coefficient to consider the influence of filling wall’s stiffness.In recent years, domestic and foreign studies have been carried through in the theory research and model experiment, but generally speaking, infilled walls in the frame structure of the study is still at a preliminary stage,a lot of work remains to be done. Therefore,this paper would mainly to the following studies:Sketch the current course of development of domestic and foreign steel structure house and several common structural system and their own characters. Introduce the research status of domestic and foreign steel frame with infilled walls. Describe various model simplification of infilled walls, research methods,and infilled walls’contribution to the stiffness and bearing capacity of steel frame.Introduce various methods of analysis and principles of the finite element analysis software called SAP2000which is used in this paper, including modal analysis, response spectrum analysis, pushover analysis and dynamic elastic-plastic time history analysis.Firstly, establish three types of infilled walls simulation models(the effective stiffness model,the framework-infilled masonry shear wall model, the equivalent diagnose compression bar model). Compare and analyse period,horizontal displacement, the interlayer displacement angle and the internal force of members among pure steel frame structure, eccentrically braced frame structure and the center support frame structure under the action of the frequently occurred earthquake through the modal analysis and response spectrum analysis.Secondly, establish the empty frame model and the equivalent diagonal compression bar model. Compare and analyse the performance point, elastoplastic horizontal displacement,elastoplastic interlayer displacement angle,internal force and the development of plastic hinge of steel frame structure under the action of the rarely occurred earthquake through the pushover analysis. Compare and analyse the irregular vertical arrangement of infilled walls.At last, establish a common framework for the empty frame model and equivalent diagonal compression bar model, through the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis, compare and analyse the response of steel frame structure under the action of the rarely occurred earthquake.
