Steel residential architecture of development in foreign countries has been verymature, however, steel structural house in our country starts rather lately and developsrelatively backward. This lack of experience in engineering and management personnelis another important issue. Conditions in foreign countries inconsistent with Chinese.Theoretical experience abroad is difficult to directly apply to our country. steel housingconstruction in Chinese is still in the exploratory stage. It does not have unified andcomprehensive specification guide. Especially the seismic research in steel structuralhouse is very rare. It needs us to do further research and development.It describes the different high-rise steel structural system and the residentialresearch of seismic performance in this article. First, the history of structuralcharacteristics and development are introduced, Especially in different architecturesystem for a detailed description. Secondly, the seismic design of the basic methodsand theories are introduced. Finally, We establish four different architecture modelsand do dynamic analysis of earthquake in taking advantage of the finite elementsoftware SAP2000.The main content of this paper is that we built pure steel frame structure、steelframe-eccentrically braced structural system、 steel frame-central support structuresystem and steel frame-shear wall structure model of three-dimensional space bySAP2000. Through these four different structural systems of modal analysis、responsespectrum analysis and linear time history analysis, It compares characteristics underearthquake. Linear time history analysis applies Elcentro wave、Taft wave and Lanzhouwaves and so on. Through the four structural vibration periods and models、 themaximum displacement and Story displacement、the top displacement、top speed andTop acceleration of comparative analysis, We come to a dicision that It has differentresistance to lateral capacity for different structural systems under earthquake. Itprovides a point of reference for our future project design.
