As the rapid growth of our country’s highway mileage and the number of vehicles,highway traffic safety has become an increasingly important issue. Among the reasons of ourcountry’s highway traffic accident, excessive speed accounted for about25%which is the mostimportant reason. Therefore, in order to effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence ofhighway traffic accident, we should reasonable and effective control the vehicle’s runningspeed in the highway, and make the vehicle with the safe speed.Due to the mountainous highway design index and traffic environment are poor, thetraffic security problems more outstanding, therefore, with characteristics of the mountainoushighway road linear complex and road conditions changes big, analyze and study the vehiclessafety running speed in slope and other special dangerous road of mountainous highway, it canprovide the scientific basis for reasonable speed limit and reference.In this paper, I analyzed the vehicle safe characteristics and the characteristics of themountainous highway, based on the multi-body dynamics simulation software ADAMS/Car,established Vehicle model, Road model and Driver model, Car-Road model and so on, andestablished vehicle safety running speed simulation recognition system of Car-Roadconstruction in mountainous highway. Then, I select Chongqing Highway K64~k67(containsS curves and long downhill sections) as the practical simulation Road model, structure featuressections simulation scene, the simulation scheme selection of constant speed strategy andtracking road center line combination, let the simulation vehicles with the different speedthrough the simulation sections, output vehicle dynamics corresponding curve, by analyzingthe response curve, combined with vehicle safe state standard, concluded the safety runningspeed value.Finally, use the safety running speed compared the foreign scholars of85%runningspeed model, verified the mountainous highway safety velocity simulation recognition systemfeasibility and demonstrated use the mountainous highway vehicle safety running speedsimulation recognition system determine the different vehicles in different sections, it canprovide reference basis for the reasonable speed limit for mountainous highway specialsections...
