In the21st century, the wave of economic globalization is continuing developing, the interdependencies of global economy is strengthening; capital, technology and other production factors are relocated around the world, all these are changing the politics and economies significantly. Port, as a joint point of land transportation and sea transportation, plays a crucial role in city economy development. There are35international cities in the world; more than30of them succeed with the advantage of port. Of the top10cities, most are port cities. Hence, ports are increasingly becoming the hub of relocating production factors.Guangxi Beibu Gulf locates in the intersection of the3economic circles (the ASEAN economic circle, the Southwest China economic circle and the South China economic circle). It is the only sea port of west China, meanwhile it is the starting point of Nanning-Singpore economic corridor and the frontier of the Pan-Pearl River Delta economic zone. Along with the China-ASEAN free trade zone’s construction, west development strategy’s further implementation and the promotion of the Pan-Pearl River Delta economic zone, Beibu gulf is increasingly becoming a vital integrated transportation hub between China and ASEAN. This paper takes the Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group as the main research object. At first this article analyzes the current global economic situation and regional economic development and then targets at the macro and micro environment to conclude the opportunities and threats from the outside environment and the advantages and weaknesses from the inside environment. Based on the integrated SCM theory and SWOT analysis, this article makes suitable logistics strategies and relevant guidelines for the group and puts forward safeguard measures for port logistics development strategies. |
