The Research Of Chinese Baroque Architectures On Harbin Daowai District

Harbin is a historic and diverse city, possesses distinct architectural features. Many of the old buildings represent the history and culture of Harbin, but many historic old buildings were demolished and blind reconstructed. It has seriously affected the integrity of the city historical context. For this reason, the protection of historic buildings becomes the imminent responsibilities and obligations. Harbin was once a city that owned various European architecture schools. Year after year, day after day, with many buildings destroyed, this cultural taste has gone. Large numbers of Harbin unique architectural cultures and characteristics permanently disappeared. However, most of the "Chinese Baroque" buildings are demanded to restore rather than the drawings recovery, the overall style induction, this aspect of work is little. So this study is focus on the drawings recovery of "Chinese Baroque" buildings, with the analysis of this a hundred years history city, and the systematic analysis of the form origin, historical context and the overall style of the "Chinese Baroque" architecture.In this paper, we first discussed the construction of Eastern Railway in the year1989. Expounded how the architectural style entered, spreaded and evolved into Harbin. We discuss the origin of "Chinese Baroque" step by step. And detailed studied the meticulous decoration, elements and style points of the "Chinese Baroque" architectures, with drawings recovery and a lot of generalization.At last, we redefined "China baroque", and analysed and described the impact to contemporary architecture.
