A Research On Application Of Chinese Colored Drawings Of Traditional Architecture In Furnishings Design

Ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings have a long history, which is the highlight of Chinese ancient architecture and it covers widely in numerous aspects. The unique art nature and cultural information should be paid to attention, inheritance and research. Design methods are more worth to be taken as example by modern architects and the various patterns of manifestation can be developed in a large number of areas.Meanwhile, due to somewhat historical reasons, documents of ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings are neither systematic nor completive. Ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings is under crisis of distortion and extinction. Therefore, the author attains the first-hand materials through field investigation, site testing, taking photos, collecting information, drawing restored picture. To analyze the differentiation and the evolution in both system and constitution of ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings objectively and thoroughly, the author study historical data,compose system of painting, analyze surface ornamentation system and the color control system, and consult from the inheritor of ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings to find out the internal logic and deep-seated spiritual connotation. This research is of great significance of history and modern society.The author found out Ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings, bearing Chinese traditional design and oriental art nature are far beyond wooden architecture, and the influence on various of art areas including interior furnishings design cannot be neglected as well. The furnishings design,a long established design area, is now attracting more designers’ attention and it needs further exploring.It would improve national confidence of Chinese culture to take furnishings design as a carrier of introducing Chinese traditional culture, integrate elements of ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings into modern furnishings design at the same time as innovation under inheriting and developing historical culture.In order to promote the differentiation of Chinese traditional heritage, realize the vitality of traditional architecture, the author take traditional architecture art form of beauty as entry point, after theoretical analysis and design practice, by developing art forms and enhancing spiritual connotation of Ancient Chinese architectural colored drawings, so as to recreate it in furnishings design area.
