Form Analysis Of Historical Settlement And Traditional Residences Of Jia Jiazhuang

This thesis includes three parts which are the introduction, body and conclusion. The body content is chapter Ⅱ to chapter Ⅴ.The first chapter is the introduction. With the background of the research subject as a starting point, the author combines with the research dynamics and development status of domestic and province in ancient settlements, uses the appropriate method of analysis to determine the study content, and then develops a paper framework.The second chapter is the macro environmental analysis of Jia Jiazhuang settlement. From four sides which are location, natural environment social and cultural and historical background,the author detailedly discusses the features of topography, climate conditions, road traffic, historical evolution and folk culture etc. in Jia Jiazhuang. And that plays a foreshadowing of the role to the below study of the settlement pattern and dwellings form in Jia Jiazhuang.The third chapter is the analysis to the characteristic of Jia Jiazhuang settlement’s shape. The author researches the whole village from three points, which are overall layout, road system composition and the building types of the settlement. With Jia Jiazhuang’s location, layout and defence as the main content of overall layout characteristics, the author deeply analyses the external skin texture and the inherent meaning of the settlement. Research on road system composition includes evolution process, spatial composition and landscape composition of the streets, etc. In the aspect of building type, the settlement includes point of the public buildings, linear commercial buildings and the planar residential buildings, further from a view of macroscopic grasps Jia Jiazhuang settlement in the context.The fourth chapter is the analysis of Jia Jiazhuang’s residential morphology. Based on the previous preparing work of surveying, mapping and takingphotoes, the author puts the space layout, technical structure and artistic form as pointcuts to analyse Jia Jiazhuang. The author takes the residences shape, constituent elements, and functional characteristics etc. as the main content of space layout, summarizes the general characteristics of residential buildings.The study on technical structure includes four sides:building materials, structural system, building physics and so on. In the aspect of art form, the author mainly studies the architectural the decoration of carving, graphics and text,which fully embody the cultural connotation endowed by the local-style dwelling houses building.The fifth chapter is the protecting and developing strategies of Jia Jiazhuang settlement. Based on the previous research, the author objectively analyses the present situation’s value of the whole Jia Jiazhuang settlement, and according to the general situation of the current situation, offers some practical suggestions and developmental strategies.The epilogue highly summarizes the full text, and illustrates some understanding to the research and prospect of the historical settlements.
