Extraction And Expression Of Image In Expo Architectural Design

All buildings have the common trait with material and spirit. As traditional and cultural carriers, expo buildings are both history and future carriers. They are one kind of buildings conman people and architects focus on. The designing research of expo building not only reach the requests of function and reasonable arrangement in streamlines, but also focus on the pursuit of formal beauty and the spirit of art. Architects should focus on the history culture, geographical characteristics and the building environment in designing process, for the culture status of expo museum determines this pursuit should be in higher status than other building types. Therefore, this paper analyzed informational types and their exchange in objective images, by using the theory of architectural typology. The aim of it is to find the means of expression of objective images in expo museum. This is a process which emphasizes logical designing. And also, it’s a process that the author summarizes the designing means before he began his work time.This paper argues that the image is the beginning of designing road. That’s because image in Chinese can be divided into two parts. They are surface and meaning. Both of them provides material information model. The author uses the theory of architectural typology to complete the expression of the image in expo museum.Firstly, this paper gave general description of the concept and the logical structure of image. The aim is to elaborate the connotation of architectural image. Standing in the angle of architects, the author emphasized architectural image, which lays foundations for architectural typology from spirit category into material one. Secondly, the author gave deeper description of the concept of typology and its relevant category. He focused on the core idea and its designing method of contemporary architectural typology which is also named the third typology. The author gave some means to achieve the work of analysis and achievement of architectural image by using the means of architectural typology. In the third chapter, the author emphasized the development of expo building in different times, and also, he summarized the image of expo museum, which is a good expression of the method in typology. In the forth chapter, the author pointed out the basic support of image information was the prototype theory of typology. The extraction of image information in expo museum can arouse people’s deep memory, which can get the heritage protection of history, culture and feeling. Considering humanistic environment, natural environment, functional factor and technology factor, this paper got image information from the image typology in expo museum first, and extracted the basic type from space, body, material, details and structures next, and at last, on the basis of the theory of typology. At last, the author found the means which can express the image of expo museum clearly by different designing means.
