With the development of urban rail transit, more and more urban rail transit construction projects have been approved. Currently, urban rail transit engineering is implemented by professional division. Signal system design is an important professional work for designers of signal profession. Establish an aided design platform is conducive to composite various professional data from each profession, achieve information technology for interfaces management, also improved efficiency of designing signal system and even the whole engineering.Decision support technology is used as design ideas of the platform, specifically works show as follows:1. The paper analyzes the situation of signal system engineering design at home and abroad, then integrated with characteristics of the platform to introduced decision support technology as the idea of platform development, then introduces related technologies and its application in platform, which lay the foundation of its design and implementation afterwards.2. In the stage of overall design, platform requirements analysis and structure division had been completed, and software development environment has also been identified. So the overall design plan of the platform is illustrated.3. In the stage of detailed design and implementation of each module, corresponding decision support technology had been applied:Including the realization of the data preparation module by data warehouse technology, achieve layout of signal equipment that unrelated to line capacity result by constructing the knowledge library and layout of signal equipment that related to line capacity result by aided simulation model. Moreover, in order to convenient and intuitive for artificial modification, the platform establishes a station&yard environment by user control technology.4. The platform is used in accordance with established procedures to achieve main line signal equipment layout function, the signal floor plan was obtained.
