Railway logistics is an important driving force for national economic development, Withthe development of economy in our country, the existing problems of railway baggage andparcel management system for transport management technical equipment backward, such asLoading/unloading, out/warehousing, delivery confirmation, has been unable to meet thedemand of the society,because information collection transport is not timely and accurate.In every large luggage transfer process, loss of luggage has occurred from time to time.Artificial or bar code identification methods are still used in the existing system to identify,For which the transferring speed and accuracy greatly affected. So how to improve theefficiency of railway baggage and parcel management system and accuracy has become aserious problem. RFID technology has the features of automatic identification, uniqueidentification, strong dirt resistance etc. To use RFID tags to replace bar code label, therailway transport management level improve guaranteed. According to the railwaymanagement system based on RFID technology, this paper were mainly studied in thefollowing aspects:First, through the analysis of domestic and foreign research present situation andpackage management system of railway baggage and parcel management operation process,Aiming at the problem of information collection of baggage and parcel is not timely,accurate,we build the railway baggage and parcel management system architecture,with RFIDtechnology combining with the existing technical equipment, and analyse the function of eachcomponent in the frame and and the railway management system workflow after theimplementation scheme.Secondly, based on analyzing the operation flow of railway baggage and parcelmanagement,The important equipment for system implementation--handheld RFID readerhas been designed. RFID technology and single-chip microcomputer control technology hasrealized the hardware and software design of uhfultrahigh frequency RFID reader units. TheRF chip selection, main chip performance parameters and RFID reader unit work principlehas been introduced detailly. The design of the main part of the MCU control program hasfinally completed. Embedded technology has implemented the system hardware and softwaredesign of handheld RFID device. Based on the analysis of functional requirements handheldRFID reader, The serial communication circuit, keyboard circuit etc. has introduced. Finally,based on the achievement of the key driver program and serial communication drivers, the development processes of application program about portable RFID reader device arediscussed.Last,the realization of upper computer of railway baggage and parcel managementsystem has been described. Using C++Builder software in Borland company as a front-enddevelopment tool, SQL Server2000as the background database platform,and ODBC asconnection database access,Which can classify the informations of the originating station, theterminal station and others. Parcel information resource sharing has been achieved. With thesystem of typical interface to display the operating condition of the system ultimately,theprogram interface is concise,friendly and easy to operate. In this paper, the design andimplementation of transport management system based on RFID technology, improveefficiency and safety of operation about information input, storage, information collection,transfer, record of luggage, but also reduces the work intensity of baggage clerks, which is infavour of railway baggage and parcel transportation service information, standardizationconstruction.
