High voltage circuit breakers are the very important power equipments in the power system, they have very important influences on the power system whether they can be operating or not for a long term safely and reliably. Besides, the reasonable selection of replaced time for high voltage circuit breakers has a great influence on economic benefit also. Therefore, the establishment of residual life assessment model for high voltage circuit breakers to realize the residual life assessment of high voltage circuit breakers is particularly important. The complex operation environment of high voltage circuit breakers makes the parameter datas of residual life evaluation have both random uncertainty and fuzzy uncertainty. In order to realize the reasonable evaluation of residual life for high voltage circuit breakers, this paper introduces uncertainty theory for dealing with the double uncertainty about evaluation parameters, and studys the evaluation problem of residual life on high voltage circuit breakers under the influences on random fuzzy dual uncertainty.First of all, the article studys evaluation of residual life for high voltage circuit breakers from the point of view of health condition. It analyzes the process of state evolution and life characteristics of high voltage circuit breakers, and introduces the assessment parameters of residual life on high voltage circuit breaker in detail. The random fuzzy dual uncertainty informations of evaluation parameters for high voltage circuit breakers are processed by the random fuzzy theory. With the annual obtained health indexes of high voltage circuit breakers, the article establishes a evaluation model of residual life for high voltage circuit breakers based on the fuzzy random theory. Combining with the algorithm of random fuzzy simulation, the prediction of residual life is realized. This method solves the random fuzzy dual uncertain information for assessment of residual life on high voltage circuit breakers, and provides a theoretical basis for it.Then, the article studys evaluation of residual life for high voltage circuit breakers from the point of economical operation. It introduces the components of the life cycle cost and analyzes the uncertainty (randomness and fuzziness) of high voltage circuit breakers, and uses uncertainty theory to process the uncertainty informations of the life cycle cost. The article establishes a evaluation model of economic life based on minimizing the average life cycle cost for high voltage circuit breakers. Then, the evaluation of economic life for high voltage circuit breakers is completed. With the simulation algorithm, it provides the basis for realizing maximum economic benefit of high voltage circuit breakers. Finally, the rationality and validity of the proposed methods that assesse the residual life for high voltage circuit breakers are verified through the examples. The methods take into account the random fuzzy dual uncertainty influence of circuit breakers, and have the strict theoretical basis, so they have the high practical value.
