The worldwide" Root-seeking craze” is not accidental, it not only represents a kindof culture accumulation of desire but also reflects a constant forever pursuit of humanspiritual world; it echoes the slogan in the global construction industry: looking back forthe future.The unique style of Gardens on the Yangtze, which generates an" oriental gardenculture circle", enjoys its fame in the world and has a great influence on neighboringcountries. The traditional Chinese architecture culture, which can not be simply identifiedwith big roof and brackets, is broad and profound, and it has become a highly perfectsystem rooted in the traditional culture from all aspects.Respectively from the aspect of development evolution, environmental philosophyand environmental design concept, artistic conception applied in modern cities’residential landscape design, the influence of on modern cities’ residential landscapedesign and the application of Scenery gardens, this thesis probes into the historicalheritage of Gardens on the Yangtze and the inherent effect on itsel.The author of this thesis finds it pays to analyze the meaningful connotations ofScenery gardens with a modern aesthetic sense, because this analysis stimulates the ideasof modern residential landscape design and the practice of making the traditional culturedevelop and continue in modern design consciousness.“Learn from the past" aims at creating a better future.
