With the advances in technology, the accuracy of the flow meter is gradually improving. To make high-precision flow meters, the calibration device first. High accuracy flow meters will be impossible to achieve without trusted device. Mult-function high precision flow standard device controller is the most important part of the calibration device. It is applicated with FPGA semi-custom chip to design specifically for flow meters calibration data acquisition and controller system. Main work follows,1. The hardware design of Mult-function high precision flow standard device controller:Multi-channel pulse signal electrically isolated circuit. Analog signal acquisition circuit. Switch control output electrical signal circuit. RS232serial communication function circuit. FPGA core circuit includes FPGA chip, program memory chip and program download configuration circuit.2. The program design of Mult-function high precision flow standard device controller system hardware features:including function program of pulse signal count and timing based on double-timer method. A\D chip SPI reading data function program. Parallel data to serial data and data stack function. A program of controlling serial sender, data stack reading\writing. Serial communication function program includes serial sender and receiver, the baud rate clock.3. A PC software design of the calibration of flow meter based on standard flow meter with application of the virtual instrument development software platform:Mult-function high precision flow standard device controller, storage, real-time display, and reports generation.4. Experimental research and testing:first, various parts of the controller is whether verified to realize the functions and work normally. After fulfilling the design requirements, it would be used to verify the data acquisition and controller functions in the industrial field. The results showed that it met the design target. Mult-function high precision flow standard device controller is not only used for verification and calibration of the flow meter can also be used for other aspects of data acquisition and control.
